Robo Sand
crushed stone
Robo Sand (manufactured sand / M-sand) — a direct replacement for natural river sand in concrete and plastering. Produced from the same Chimakurthy granite as our coarse aggregate, with consistent gradation and low silt.
About Robo Sand
Conforms to IS 383:2016 for manufactured fine aggregate, Zone II grading. Silt content is typically under 3% (river sand often runs 8 – 12% in this region), which improves cement efficiency and gives more consistent strength than unscreened sand.
Where Robo Sand fits — and where it doesn't
Specifying the right aggregate size and grade saves cement, simplifies placement, and avoids rework. Below is a quick guide based on IS / MoRT&H norms and what we see ordered from our Chimakurthy crusher across Prakasam district.
Use Robo Sand for
- Fine aggregate for all ready-mix and site-mixed concrete (M15 to M40)
- Plastering mortars (internal and external)
- Brick and block masonry mortar
- Tile-laying mortar and grouts
- Precast concrete (replaces river sand 100%)
- Self-compacting concrete (where consistent gradation matters)
Don't use Robo Sand for
- Sand-blasting (the gradation is wrong for abrasive work)
- Filter media for water treatment
